What paperwork do I need in order to homeschool my kids in Virginia?

And what we're going to be doing-


you don't have to have an official curriculum that you use.

and then you're going to do your NOI-which is your notice of intent, which talks about actual State approval and what laws are in play. (See more here: https://heav.org/how-to-start-homeschooling-in-virginia/


You have to have a notice of evidence that you can teach your children by way of a GED equivalent.


You can get a transcript from your high school I have my master's degree in education that I submit


but of course you just have to have a GED equivalent


testing is done in two ways. You can have an evaluator evaluate your kids writing samples, or you can take one of the many standardized testing sites.

(We use  https://www.academicexcellence.com/ for their untuned CAT)


You just have to have a four out of nine stanine to pass.




Here we are hanging out every day doing crazy stuff playing outside playing with our cats and just having great times homeschooling


Been doing this for 10 plus years and we wouldn't change it for anything.
