Saving reclaimed materials from landfills is a passion of ours- we are constantly driving around neighborhoods and picking up things that people have discarded off the side of the road!
We have multiple vehicles that we used to search and find materials and supplies for a lot of our projects!
In a very small way we can help affect change and promote the use of reclaimed materials.
Just because something has been discarded, doesn’t mean it can’t be fixed or restored to something amazing! Usually it just takes a fresh coat of paint and some elbow grease to make it shine.
The park and playground equipment that we are power washing here with one of our sons, was to be thrown out and put in the landfill- but we were contacted about this particular park equipment from one of our friends and we were able to save it and restore it and put it in our backyard for children to play from the whole neighborhood.
most of the furniture in our home has been from reclaimed stores, thrift stores, craigslist, Facebook marketplace or found on the side of the road- for us and our family values, using what we have around our community is more important then getting the latest and greatest
