Typical homeschooling day: laying on the floor, mess everywhere- kids climbing everywhere. Looks like nothing is happening.

But everything is happening- closeness, affirmation, positive reenforcement, physical touch, encouragement, creativity, emotional intelligence growth.

But yet I find beauty in the chaos knowing that my dreams can inspire them and empower them to do the same someday.

Some people might think that just because our kids haven’t ever stepped foot into a traditional classroom environment, that maybe we are leaving out important bits of their “education.”

But for us- learning happens in car rides, in nature walks, in cleaning, in board games, in conversations over hot cocoa, in nighttime adventures in a play tent.
.
.
Learning is 24-7- trips to the store is learning, playing outside is learning, finding an anthill is learning- building a foundation for future decision making is learning!
We LOVE being able to not only make things for clients, but we are passionate about teaching our children to create, learn, experiment and literally build the things they can dream of!

Our 11 year old designed this small side table for her reading swing- we were able to find reclaimed materials and build this for FREE from old wood and left-overs hardware!

Being a homeschool family for the past 7 years has not been a walk in the park- we have lost careers, moved states, survived on government assistance for part of it, living in people’s basements for some, using a moped instead of a car, being essentially homeless for two months- we have make so many sacrifices to have our kids home with us.

But after 7 years- now we are in it for life- teaching our littles to appreciate the simple things- experiences before materials items, board games over fancy toys, nature over electronics and community over busyness.
